Anyone know where I can find sustainable/ethical options for these?
Our take
Searching for sustainable and ethical fashion options is a meaningful way to refresh your wardrobe while honoring the planet. If you admired a particular outfit but want to avoid fast fashion, there are several brands that prioritize eco-conscious practices and ethical production. Additionally, exploring thrift stores can reveal unique gems that align with your style. Based in San Francisco, you’re in a great location for both sustainable brands and thrift finds.

| I’m due for a small wardrobe update and loved this outfit but would hate buying from fast fashion, so do you know where I might find a similar outfit but from a sustainable and ethical brand? I’m located in SF and will be checking out thrift stores as well, so I would also appreciate if you have any recs for SF thrift stores that have a higher chance of carrying something like this. - How to shop fashion sustainably?Hi everyone. I want to ask for advice on how to shop sustainably, or more ethical and eco-friendly. What's your shopping process? My experience in the Philippines is shop in thrift shops or look for overruns, and repair clothes I already have. Unfortunately I haven't seen any sustainable brands and have any thrift finds where they make fashion I prefer, which is usually gen z fashion that you find on pinterest. Mainly but nit limited to streetwear, academia, and y2k I think they're called. A brand I found that fits these is Carmico. Another problem I have is I was thinking of buying something from the thrift store and just customize it to my liking to a tailor. But when I tried customization before, I wasn't really satisfied with the results. And as of now I'm not really interested in making my own clothes. Do you have any tips? Thanks! Edit: Another brand with designs I like is Koi Footwear, though I'm unsure on their sustainability. submitted by /u/KaelPizza [link] [comments]
- Affordable, sustainable clothing brandsCould you suggest some conscious brands that are relatively budget-friendly but still have nice cuts? I'm aware of secondhand options like Vinted or thrift markets but I'm specifically looking for brand recommendations. submitted by /u/tulipano6 [link] [comments]
- How to find truly sustainable fashion brands online?Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about sustainable fashion and wanted to get some honest opinions from people who actually care about it. I feel like it’s still weirdly hard to find brands that are truly sustainable, easy to shop, and also just things people actually want to wear. So I’m curious: What do you look for first when shopping sustainably? What makes you trust a brand vs. think it’s just greenwashing? How do you find sustainable clothes/brands online? Is there a good online platform only for sustainable fashion? Would better search or filters actually help, or is that not really the problem? Would love to hear any thoughts, frustrations, or things you think are missing. Cheers! submitted by /u/AdFun7690 [link] [comments]
