How do you know if a piece will actually flatter your body before buying?

Our take

Navigating the world of fashion can often feel like a guessing game, especially when it comes to finding pieces that truly flatter your unique body shape. Many of us share the frustration of returning clothes not due to size, but because the cut simply doesn’t align with our silhouettes. Size charts can be misleading, and model photos rarely represent our realities. So, how do we make informed decisions about what will work for us?

I love fashion, but I often end up returning clothes not because of size, but because the cut just doesn’t work on my body.

Size charts don’t really help with that, and model photos rarely look like me.

How do you usually decide if something will work for your body shape before ordering? Do you just guess, or is there something that actually helps?
