How to survive business clothes in the summer?
Our take
Navigating the sweltering summer heat in Washington, D.C. can be a challenge, especially for those stepping into the professional world for the first time. As a recent graduate, the transition from casual student attire to polished office wear may feel daunting, particularly when commuting in the humidity. The struggle to maintain both comfort and style is real, and many wonder how the women around them manage to stay cool while exuding effortless elegance.
I’m a recent grad living in DC and I just don’t understand how women are surviving DC summers in their office attire. It’s on thing being a student where you can get away with shorts and tees all summer but I just signed on to my first full-time office job and commuting on the metro in slacks and blouses is already killing me.
Are there some secret tips all these beautiful women know about that I don’t? How are you all not getting to the office without sweating your asses off AND staying fashionable?
