I did a closet sustainability audit for a class and it was humbling
Our take
I recently conducted a closet sustainability audit for a class, and the experience was more humbling than I anticipated. As I analyzed my wardrobe, breaking down each item by material and origin, I realized just how prevalent plastic is in my collection. This project was not merely an academic exercise; it opened my eyes to the realities of my fashion choices. While I may not be at the forefront of ethical fashion, this journey has ignited my commitment to embrace sustainable practices moving forward.
I had to analyze my closet for a project and ended up breaking down a bunch of items by materials and where they came from. It was honestly more eye-opening than I expected and not in a I’m doing great kind of way.
I’m sharing what I did: My Closet Project for Voyeurism Purposes
Also please don’t judge the level of basic in here lol, I’m clearly not operating at peak ethical fashion influencer level
Anyway, I'm completely new to sustainable fashion after this. Everything I own is plastic.
