"I'm Giving Chic Raven": Get Ready With Stassi Schroeder for Her Premiere Party
Our take

The arrival of "House of Stassi" and the surrounding buzz surrounding Stassi Schroeder’s premiere party marks a fascinating, if somewhat complicated, moment in the landscape of influencer-driven brands. It’s easy to dismiss it as another celebrity venture capitalizing on established fame, but the underlying shift towards curated, lifestyle-focused businesses deserves closer examination. Schroeder’s journey, from Bravo reality star to entrepreneur, reflects a broader trend where personal brand equity is increasingly monetized through direct-to-consumer offerings. This echoes the strategies seen in other successful ventures; consider the nuanced approach to stylist collaboration detailed in Lupita Nyong'o's Stylist Shares How She Put Together Those The Odyssey Press Tour Looks, which demonstrates the power of leveraging expertise and stylistic vision to build a distinct brand identity. The success of these ventures hinges not just on celebrity appeal, but on a believable alignment between the individual's public persona and the products or services they offer.
What’s particularly noteworthy about Schroeder’s relaunch, as highlighted in the article, is the palpable sense of reinvention. The description of a “new, electric energy” and the focus on a carefully curated outfit – chic white barrel pants, a black tank, and draped knit – signals a deliberate move away from the more chaotic, sometimes controversial, image associated with her earlier reality television appearances. This aligns with the current consumer appetite for understated elegance and a sense of quiet confidence, a feeling we often explore in our own editorial focus. The shift resonates with the broader trend of “clean girl” aesthetics and the desire for a streamlined, intentional lifestyle. We saw a similar embrace of considered style choices in The Summer Refresh: 28 Fashion and Beauty Items It Girls Are Loving Right Now, where subtle yet impactful pieces dominate the style landscape. Schroeder's move isn’t about shouting trends, but about projecting a refined, almost timeless aesthetic.
However, the success of "House of Stassi" won't be solely determined by aesthetics. The ability to maintain authenticity and connection with her audience, particularly those who have followed her journey through various phases, will be crucial. The pitfalls of influencer branding are well-documented; forced endorsements and a disconnect between the public persona and the brand’s values can quickly erode trust. Schroeder’s challenge lies in crafting a narrative that feels genuine, rather than purely transactional. The broader market is discerning; trends shift quickly, and consumers are increasingly attuned to inauthenticity. The rise of unexpected footwear pairings, as observed in I Didn't Think These Sneaker Trends Would Catch—Now Celebrities Won't Stop Wearing Them, demonstrates a willingness to embrace individuality and unexpected choices – qualities that, if genuinely integrated into the "House of Stassi" brand, could prove to be a significant differentiator.
Ultimately, Schroeder’s venture serves as a case study in the evolving dynamics of celebrity branding. It's a reminder that simply having a platform isn't enough; sustained success requires a carefully cultivated image, a genuine connection with one's audience, and a willingness to adapt to changing consumer preferences. The question now is whether Schroeder can successfully translate her personal brand into a sustainable business that resonates beyond the initial wave of excitement. Will “House of Stassi” become a lasting brand, or another fleeting example of influencer-driven hype? The answer likely lies in her ability to maintain that “new, electric energy” while staying true to a refined and intentionally curated vision.
A new Stassi Schroeder era has officially arrived. A few weeks ago, I hung out with Schroeder for a fun project (more on that later), and I could immediately feel a new, electric energy radiating from her—not just because of her flawless outfit. (FYI, she was wearing chic white barrel pants, a black tank with a coordinating knit draped over her shoulders, and ballet-inspired heels.) That undeniable excitement? It's all leading up to the highly anticipated premiere of House of Stassi, her brand-new Freeform and Hulu series.
Schroeder iconically teases at the end of the first trailer, "This time, I get to go back and do it, but on my terms. What could go wrong?" She's, of course, referring to her Vanderpump Rules past as she transitions into her own spotlight. The new series promises an unfiltered look at her life as a mom, wife, author, and podcaster. Expect to see plenty of familiar faces from her inner circle—like Katie Maloney, Kristina Kelly, and Taylor Strecker—along with her husband Beau Clark, their kids, and her sister Georgi.

In honor of the premiere, Schroeder celebrated at The Corner Store in New York City and let me in on her getting-ready process before the event in her hotel room—complete with caviar and chicken tenders.

The primary fashion goal for the evening? Go all out. "It's House of Stassi premiere night. We had to go all out. You know how I always used to make a big deal about my birthday on national TV? Forget birthdays. Now, it's about my premiere party. It's my fucking premiere party, people!" Schroeder told me. She went on to explain the specific vibe for the party. "I'm giving chic raven. I look like your worst enemy showing up to your funeral, and I wouldn't change a thing. The dress is by Nué Studio, and I simply never want to take it off," she said.

Her number one rule when dressing for a big event? "The hair always has to match the vibe perfectly. Hair can make or break an outfit. That's why we had to use the Kérastase Elixir Ultime Hair Oil to make sure my hair still had that perfect gloss effect, even with a messy updo," she explained.

House of Stassi premieres on July 29 on Freeform, and you can stream the series the next day on Hulu. If you love her premiere look (obviously), you're going to adore the fashion in the show. "Expect fashion that says, 'classic, elevated, and just intimidating enough.' Think elevated neutrals, chic monochrome moments, and enough chocolate brown, cream, and white to last you a lifetime. It's polished, it's effortless looking (which means it definitely wasn't effortless), and it's proof that being 'basic' is only an insult if you don't do it exceptionally well," she said. I'm here for it. Now, excuse me while I stop working and sit on my couch with a glass of pinot grigio—no, sauvignon blanc—for House of Stassi. Byeee.
