“The inspiration was her Louis Vuitton gown," Bachik explained in a press release to media. "We loved the whole look. It was like frosted gold, so I wanted that same effect on the nail, a frosted metallic. Subtle but special. We played with different textures, and Gel by essie Frost Yourself was the perfect choice for Selena’s metallic frost 'Sunset' mani.”
To get the frosted look, Bachik started with a base coat to prolong the polish, and then two coats of Gel by essie Frost Yourself. He then finished with with Gel by essie Shiny Top Coat for "red-carpet luxe shine," and a swipe of essie On A Roll Apricot Cuticle Oil to keep the whole look elegant-looking and moisturized throughout the night.
