Tips on how to make outfits more hijabi level modest. Please be nice and I won’t take it off, I’ll work around my hijab.

Our take

Navigating modest fashion while embracing your personal style can be a rewarding journey. If you're seeking to adapt pieces like spaghetti strap tops or V-necks, consider layering with lightweight, breathable fabrics that won’t add excessive warmth. Experiment with adjusting your hijab for coverage, allowing you to showcase your favorite designs without compromising modesty. Opt for half or three-quarter sleeves by pairing them with stylish outerwear. Finally, learning to sew and upcycle can empower you to create unique, tailored looks that reflect your individuality.

So for example I find a really nice top but it’s spaghetti straps, how can I make it more modest without looking weird? If I layer it with a top underneath it’ll look weird, if I layer too much it’ll be hot. Next are v necks. I thought of just adjusting my hijab to cover the chest area instead of layering but that will cover the top as well, if I buy something I WANT IT TO SHOW. But if I layer a top underneath it’s either hot or uncomfy or both. Or other tops that are half sleeves or 3/4 sleeves I have no idea how to style them. More baggy graphic tees are easy cuz I can just layer a long sleeved top underneath but others are tricky.

I’m also thinking of learning how to sew and maybe up cycle and adjust things but I’m not sure. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ANY HELP OF TIPS OR ADVICE WOULD BE NICEEEE.

Please and thank you.

Just for reference I can’t show any skin besides hands and face. And I wear pants but baggy. I can’t wear any fitted or tight clothing as well
