Why is hemp not used anywhere?
Our take
Hemp is an incredibly versatile material, yet its use in clothing remains limited to a select few brands. Despite being lightweight and breathable, making it an ideal candidate to replace synthetic fabrics like polyester and nylon in hiking gear, several factors hinder its widespread adoption. These include historical stigmas surrounding hemp, regulatory challenges, and a lack of consumer awareness.
Hi,
Why is hemp not used in clothing other than maybe a handful of brands?
It's lightweight and breathable. It could replace a lot of polyester/nylon hiking gear.
Thank you
