Photos got corrupted

I took some photos using mini camera but when I checked on my computer files got corrupted it says :

“It may be damaged or use a file format that preview doesn’t recognize”

I tried to search online, people say open the photos using microsoft paint or other software it didn’t work, please sendd helpp…
