Summer Trip Advice Wanted

I'm planning on taking a weekend/day trip in either Hot Springs, Arkansas or Wichita, Kansas potentially both.

I don't have a big budget and am looking for advice on cheap/free things to check out.

and if anyone has hotel/motel/airbnb recommendations.

i don't need anything fancy just something somewhat decent.

solo travel, 1 person

keeping costs as low as possible

i would be driving my own car so no airfare needed.
