How to host a clothing swap?

Hiii I'm trying to make circular fashion more fun by spicing up circular activities. For a clothing swap, I really have in mind a modern venue (I live in a big city with lots of cool spots), that offers drinks, and has lots of space/tables for this. I also have a friend who is a DJ who can help out so need a spot for her.

Yet, I've never thrown an event before so am wondering how clothing swaps actually work. I understand people will bring their clothes upon arrival, I'm thinking a max of 10 pieces and unlimited clothes to donate to a non-profit, but then what? Do they just walk around and show people the clothes? How do the swaps happen? I was recommended a token system but am still unsure.

I also want to keep costs as low as possible while still being able to pay my DJ friend and my co-host and I a bit for our time. What are some relationship options I could offer the venue in terms of ticket sales, drink commissions, etc. to avoid "renting" a private space, as that could be expensive.

How much should I charge for tickets...?

Would appreciate any suggestions and wisdom here! Thank you!! <3
