month old chick and a black snake - NSFW
My chicks got moved to the main coop. A western rat snake (black snake) got to one of them i the coop, not the snakes fault, just a snake doing what snakes do. I found a hole in the coop i ran a water pipe into years ago and forgot about. so this is my fault. If you are putting in baby chicks this spring, might be a good time to do a walkthrough of the coop.
