Building the future of fashion
Our take
Hi everyone,
I’ve just launched a 30-day crowdfunding challenge to raise £50,000 for a circular fashion platform I’ve been building — NicheByNature.
After working in the fashion industry, I was genuinely shocked by the scale of waste — over 92 million tonnes annually, with less than 1% recycled into new garments.
I started speaking to key players across the fashion supply chain, which led me to research this space further for my dissertation — where I identified a clear gap in the market.
This research led me to build a circular ecosystem called NicheByNature — a luxury fashion marketplace built on the principles of the circular economy, connecting recycled textile suppliers, designers, textile sorters, and conscious consumers to create a system where materials are actually reused, not wasted.
This campaign isn’t just about funding, it’s about validating whether this ecosystem is truly needed.
If this resonates with you, I’d really value your support — whether that’s backing the project or simply sharing it within your network.

- Circular fashion choicesI’ve been trying to shop more circular fashion lately… and honestly, it’s frustrating. I end up scrolling for ages, opening multiple tabs, second-guessing everything. The whole experience just doesn’t feel personal. It made me realise — it’s not that we don’t care about better fashion choices. It’s that the way we experience them right now just isn’t built for us. So we started building Niche by Nature to change that. Here’s what you get as an early user : • A personalised styling experience that actually understands your style based on your wardrobe • Access to premium, small-batch designs you won’t find on mass platforms • A curated feed — no endless scrolling, just pieces that match your taste • Early access to our first circular fashion drops • Rewards for participating in recycling and conscious shopping We’re creating something that: – learns your style – reduces waste – connects you to better fashion choices If you would like to give it a try then join here: https://waitlister.me/p/niche-by-nature submitted by /u/Scared_Attorney4688 [link] [comments]
- Would love to get some feedbackHi, I’ve been working on a platform (Niche by Nature) that’s focused on making circular fashion more accessible — and I’m currently close to launching. From a consumer perspective, I’ve always felt like: • Circular options are hard to discover • It’s difficult to know what’s genuinely better vs greenwashing • Most platforms still push overconsumption, just with a “sustainable” label So what I’m trying to build is something that: • Helps you discover more intentional, non-mass-produced pieces • Gives some visibility into the impact of what you’re buying • Encourages circular behaviour (not just buying more, but reusing/returning over time) On the backend, we’re working with recycled textile suppliers, textile sorter, circular packaging, and trying to build a system where items can come back into the loop instead of ending as waste. I’ve just redesigned the website and added early access/waitlist features, but before I move forward, I’d really value perspectives from people who actually care about sustainability: • Does this feel genuinely useful, or just another “sustainable” concept? • What would make you trust (or not trust) something like this? • What’s missing from your ideal sustainable shopping experience? Here’s the link: https://www.nichebynature.com/ Open to honest feedback — even if it’s critical. I’d rather fix things now than later. submitted by /u/Scared_Attorney4688 [link] [comments]
- Support Sustainable Fashion & Reduce WasteHi everyone, I am building a small business with a bigger mission: reducing clothing waste and promoting sustainable fashion. Every year, millions of pounds of clothing end up in landfills. Fast fashion moves quickly, but its environmental impact lasts for decades. What started as thrifting has grown into something more meaningful. Each item saved is one less item contributing to overproduction and landfill overflow. I am raising funds to help expand this sustainability effort through: • increasing rescued inventory • eco friendly packaging & supplies • transportation & sourcing costs My goal is to make sustainable fashion more accessible and appealing, while building a brand rooted in environmental responsibility. Any support helps me scale this mission further, even if you can't donate, sharing this post supports sustainable fashion and conscious consumption.
